A-Level Options

You've always been ambitious, even from an early age. Now with your 180 UCAS points (or expected) and GCSE Maths and English grade A-C in the bag, you're ready to head all the way to the top.

Lucky for you, Tesco is just the place to do it. Our A Level Options Programme is a fast-track management programme that will, in 12 months, give you with all the skills you need to build a high flying career with Britain's No1 retailer.

So if you are currently in your last year of Further Educations, or you've already completed you're A Levels or equivalent recently or some time ago, get ready for take off.

The Programme

So exactly how can you get to the top of our organisation?

Well, our A-Level Options programme is a 12 month fast-track management programme that'll see you start as a Team Leader in a local store.

Of course, as you'd expect from Tesco, you'll begin your career on a competitive salary and benefits package, plus we'll make sure you have all the training and support you need, both on and off the job.

Not only that, we'll also give you plenty of hands on experience too - the kind that'll really stand you in good stead as you progress.

Your first 6 months will see you working through your Line Manager (1st level of management) modules whilst taking an active role in store as a Team Leader.

Once you've completed this section, you'll meet with your Store Manager and discuss your development so far. Assuming you've met our performance requirements (of course you will!), the second 6 months of the programme will see you promoted into your first Manager position.

And from there, the sky's the limit.

A Recent Recruit

But don't take our word for it.

Hannah Lamb is 20 years old and is currently a Checkout Manager here at Tesco.

"I know I made the right decision choosing a career at Tesco because I can put my hand on my heart and say that I genuinely enjoy the job I do. Every day brings a new challenge and I get the opportunity to meet, and work with, some fantastic people.

Having just started a new job there's a lot to take onboard. It's a bit scary, but exciting at the same time. Luckily I feel confident that I know what I'm doing - and I've got my 6 months' training to thank for that.

If you're prepared to work hard and push yourself, you can go just as far on the A-level Options Programme as you can on the Tesco Graduate Programme."

What you need

We're looking for ambitious, enthusiastic people who really want to make their mark in the world of retailing.
